Dominique Sharpton Inducted as Honorary Member of Zeta Phi Beta

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, announced today the induction of Dominique Sharpton as an Honorary Member of its Alpha Omega Chapter. The announcement was made during the sorority’s Grand Boule held in Indianapolis on July 27, 2024.

Sharpton, a notable civil rights activist, has been recognized for her extensive work advocating for equality and justice across the United States. Her philanthropic efforts are focused on addressing social inequalities and supporting marginalized communities. Sharpton’s commitment to these causes aligns with the core values of Zeta Phi Beta, which emphasizes community service and empowerment.

Dominique is the eldest daughter of Rev. Al Sharpton who is also an Honorary Member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

The induction ceremony was part of the sorority’s international conference, where 15 distinguished women were officially welcomed into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. The event marks a significant moment as the sorority continues to honor individuals whose work reflects its mission of service and social justice.

International First Vice President for Membership, Gina Merritt-Epps, expressed enthusiasm about the new members, highlighting their contributions to advancing the sorority’s goals. Dr. Stacie NC Grant, International President and CEO, praised the 2024 Honorary Member Class for their alignment with Zeta Phi Beta’s commitment to holistic excellence through mind, body, and spirit.

As an Honorary Member, Sharpton will play a vital role in the sorority’s Social Action initiative, Get Engaged. Her induction not only underscores Zeta Phi Beta’s dedication to social justice but also strengthens its efforts in community advocacy and empowerment, reflecting the sorority’s ongoing commitment to effecting meaningful change.
