Video Of Fraternity Singing “There will never be a ni**er in SAE” Sparks National Uproar
Sigma Alpha Epsilon is going to have to spend a lot of time working on damage control.
A video was posted on Sunday of members of the fraternity’s Oklahoma chapter singing racist lyrics about their intake practices. The video has received immediate national attention and both the university as well as the national headquaters for SAE are launching investigations.
In the video, a bus full of white fraternity members in formal attire are see clapping along and singing the following lyrics:
“There will never be a ni**** in SAE.
There will never be a ni**** in SAE.
You can hang him from a tree, but he can never sign with me
There will never be a ni**** in SAE.”
The fraternity’s national chapter has since responded via Twitter.
It is also very interesting to note that while this particular chapter does not seem to want to allow Blacks to enter their bond, they did not have any problem hiring rapper, Waka Flocka to perform at one of their parties.
