Did ‘Kappa Omega Phi’ Steal Moves From The Kappas?

A recent video has come out of a lesbian organization in Alabama that has caused quite a stir in the Divine 9 community.

In the video, you will see members of the ‘Kappa Omega Phi Fraternity’ shimmying and using canes while doing a stroll very similar to the signature stroll of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc.

@NolaGreek was able to compile some information about organization from one of the founders of Kappa Omega Alpha by searching the comment section under the original video. They posted the following screen captured image from its comment section. According to a founding member of the organization, their organization’s founders were mentored by a Kappa and that is why they use Kappa stroll moves.

This is what the founder had say:

We at the WatchTheYard.com would like to have a respectful and adult conversation about Kappa Omega Phi using signature Kappa stroll moves and the cane. This discussion is not about the fact that this is a lesbian organization, so please omit anything homophobic. It is about the fact that signature moves have been taken from one organization and used by another.
