Vice President Kamala Harris To Speak at Sigma Gamma Rho’s 60th International Boule
The White House just announced that on Wednesday, July 31, Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver remarks at Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.’s 60th International Biennial Boule in Houston, TX. The remarks are set to take place during the sorority’s public meeting.
According to the White House, Vice President Harris will also be in Houston on Thursday to deliver a eulogy at the Homegoing Service for the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Congresswoman Jackson Lee, who passed away on July 19th, was a prominent member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to which Vice President Harris also belongs.
Earlier this month, Vice President Harris spoke at Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s Boule in Dallas. She also addressed Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.’s Grand Boule in Indianapolis last week.
This continued effort to engage Black sororities and fraternities shows her commitment to connecting with important community organizations as she navigates the campaign trail as a presidential candidate.
