FAU’s NPHC President Calonda Harvey Leaned on Her SGRho Sorors for Assistance And Fed The Hungry
Check out what the NPHC president is doing at Florida Atlantic University.
Over the course of 30 days, The FAU National Pan-Hellenic Council President Calonda Harvey was able to raise 400+ different types of non-perishable items for the “Anything Can Help” Food Drive that she did with her sorority the Pi Eta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., for her leadership Capstone Project.
She placed donation boxes in every residential student space to collect non-perishable food items for the program. They also utilized grocery stores and other stores to set up shop, and table in the local community for additional support from the local community.
All of the donations went to the Beyond Food Program, which is a part of the Dean of Students Office to help students who suffer from food insecurity.
