Olympic Weightlifter Kendrick Farris Is A Member Of Kappa Alpha Psi
Did you know that Kendrick Farris is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi? Farris crossed through the Xi Alpha Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Farris was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He finished eighth in the 85 kg category at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Farris competed for the United States in the 85 kg category at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, earning a tenth-place finish. He won a silver medal at the 2013 Summer Universiade and the 2010 Pan-American Championship. Kyle Pierce coaches him.
On May 8, 2016, Farris recorded a U.S. record by lifting 831 pounds (377 kg)—370 pounds (168 kg) in the snatch and 461 pounds (209 kg) in the clean and jerk.
