Marvin Sapp Is A Nupe! Watch This Video Of Him Singing At The Kappa Alpha Psi Conclave!
Did you know that Marvin Sapp is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi?
The famed “Never would have made it” singer was initiated into Kappa Alpha Psi on March 21, 2009.
Dwayne M. Murray, Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, welcomed Bro. Sapp publicly to the bond after he crossed in 2009 in a press release stating, “Our organization was founded on Christian principles, so we are proud that so many representatives of the gospel industry have chosen to affiliate with Kappa. Mr. Sapp is certainly one of the hottest artists in the country at this time, gospel or otherwise. We welcome him to our fold with open arms and look forward to him doing great things for Kappa.”
Marvin Sapp is not the only famed gospel singer in Kappa Alpha Psi. The fraternity has long been an organization with some of the top gospel recording artists in the industry. With such multi-award winning stars as pioneer Gabriel Hardiman, one of the first crossover gospel artists; powerful vocalist, Byron Cage; and the charismatic Smokey Norful, all of whom have performed at Kappa conventions, the fraternity is recognized as a leader in this area.
