In a time of protests across the country fighting against police brutality, members of the Black fraternity and sorority community are using their art to express their pain and frustration toward the current state of America.
Ty Heeter, from Broward County, FL who is a member of the Theta Eta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi from Florida State University recently released a song called F.L.O.Y.D. paying homage to the George Floyd protests that started in Minneapolis and have since taken the nation.
The title F.L.O.Y.D. stands for “Forfeit Liberty Or You Die,” Heeter told Watch The Yard. “I put my soul into this record,” he stated.
