Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Charters New Alumni Chapter in The Dominican Republic
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. continues to expand its reach with the chartering of its latest alumni chapter in the Dominican Republic. On January 15, 2023, the Dominican Republic Alumni Association of Kappa Alpha Psi was officially chartered in Punta Cana and welcomed into the fraternity’s network of distinguished men.
This marks the first alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi in the Dominican Republic and it joins the list of international chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. that are currently active in United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Japan, United States Virgin Islands, Nigeria, South Africa, Abu Dhabi, The Bahamas and now the Dominican Republic.
The chapter plans to serve as a beacon of excellence and leadership for the community. The charter members have already begun to make an impact in the Punta Cana area, participating in community service projects and mentoring programs for young men.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on the campus of Indiana University in 1911 and has since grown to include over 150,000 members worldwide. The fraternity is dedicated to achievement in every field of human endeavor and is known for its commitment to community service, scholarship, and leadership development.
The chartering of the Punta Cana Alumni Chapter is a significant milestone for Kappa Alpha Psi and the Dominican Republic, and this would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of members including but not limited to Sherman Larkins, Rickalan O’Riley and Thelonius Alexander who have been instrumental in making this chapter a reality.
The chapter will serve as a bridge between the fraternity and the community, fostering relationships and creating opportunities for growth and development.
We look forward to seeing the impact that the Punta Cana Alumni Chapter will make in the Dominican Republic and the fraternity is excited to welcome them as a part of our global network of distinguished men.
