Delta Sigma Theta’s Juanita Brown Ingram Crowned Mrs. Universe
Big news for the sorors of Delta Sigma Theta! Juanita Brown Ingram, an initiate of the Alpha Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a graduate of Tennessee State University was just crowned this year’s Mrs. Universe by Ms. World International.
Ingram is US licensed attorney who is currently living and working in Singapore. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Tennessee State University and her MBA and Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis.
In 2018, Ingram founded Purpose Productions Inc., a production company that, according to her website, creates, “content that celebrates authentic BIPOC narratives while empowering women and youth through film.” In 2021, she launched a streaming platform dedicated to content that inspires, informs, and empowers through BIPOC-centric content called Purpose Streaming.
The Mrs. Universe title sets itself apart from other pageant titles because it focuses on people who are married. According to the Ms. World International website, to qualify for the Mrs. Universe title, contestants must submit a valid copy of their marriage license. Ingram is a wife and mother of two.
A simple scroll through Ingram’s social media shows that she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta.
