Wilberforce University Launches The ‘Wilberforce Unite’ Campaign To Raise $2 Million In Support for The HBCU
Wilberforce University, the nation’s first private historically black college was placed on probation last year by a regional accreditation agency for running a deficit of more than $19 million in fiscal year 2017.
The President of the HBCU, Dr. Elfred Anthony Pinkard, has launched the Wilberforce Unite campaign with the goal of raising $2 million in 68 days to help meet the university’s need for flexible and unrestricted income to support student aid, facility enhancements, faculty and staff development, and academic programs.
Currently the campaign is well on its way to meeting its mark but donations are still needed to hit the goal to get the funding that the university needs.
