NBA Player Robert Covington Crosses Alpha Phi Alpha

NBA player Robert Covington is now a Spring 2025 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
The former Tennessee State University star, celebrated for his defensive skills and named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2018, has officially become a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Covington crossed into the fraternity through the historic Tau Lambda Chapter based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Covington’s induction into the fraternity was part of the chapter’s Spring 2025 line, which included 15 new members. The Tau Lambda Chapter took to social media to proudly announce their impressive roster of new initiates:

Taking to Instagram to share the milestone, Covington wrote:

The journey to Alpha Phi Alpha was especially significant for Covington, who attended an HBCU—Tennessee State University—where he played college basketball from 2009 to 2013. His NBA career has since spanned multiple teams, including the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Clippers.
