On April 20, the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., at the University of Cincinnati witnessed a historic moment as identical triplet sisters Brianna, Brittany, and Brooke Jones were initiated into the sorority. Their induction not only adds to the chapter’s distinguished legacy but also continues a rich family tradition, making them a triple legacy.

The Jones sisters are following in the esteemed footsteps of their mother, Brandee Carson-Jones, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Their initiation into the sorority underscores a deep familial commitment to the values and mission of the first historically African American sorority, founded in 1908 at Howard University. Their father, Jeffrey Jones, a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., further cements their place within the “Phirst Pham” of the Divine Nine, a term that denotes families with members in both Alpha Kappa Alpha and Alpha Phi Alpha.

The triplets’ induction is not just a personal milestone but a reflection of a broader tradition of service, leadership, and community engagement that both their parents have championed. Their mother’s legacy within Alpha Kappa Alpha and their father’s association with Alpha Phi Alpha highlight a family deeply embedded in the principles and networks of the Divine Nine. This milestone marks a continuation of their parents’ commitment to fostering unity and excellence within their community.
