Did you know that the first black Federal Judge in the Western District of Oklahoma is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha? Vicki Miles LaGrand pledged the Beta Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Vicki Miles-LaGrange is an inactive Senior United States District Judge, born on September 30, 1953. She was the first African American woman to be sworn in as U.S Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma and she was also the first African American female elected to Oklahoma Senate
Miles-LaGrange is a lawyer who went to the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana, and graduated cum laude from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She then attended Howard University School of Law where she was an editor for The Howard Law Journal.
