Delta Sigma Theta Sorors Gather At The White House for Founders’ Day Photoshoot
To celebrate their sorority’s 111th Founders’ Day, sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in Washington D.C. convened on the Navy Yard steps of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House campus and did a photoshoot.
Among the notable sorority members included in the photo were Under Secretary Bonnie Jenkins and Reta Jo Lewis, Chair of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
These notable members and the over fifty women pictured represent various organizations and federal entities and pay homage to the sorority’s historic founding and commitment to public service.
“Today, as we celebrate Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.’s 111th Founders Day, we honor not just a legacy of sisterhood but a profound commitment to scholarship, service, and civic participation,” said Myra Caesar, Director of White House Personnel and organizer.
“Gathered here on the historic steps of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, we pay homage to our sorority’s century-long journey of empowerment and social advocacy. We, the members of Delta Sigma Theta, proudly serve in various leadership roles from the Biden-Harris Administration to Congress; we are committed to continuing to uphold our sorority’s values, driving positive change and uplifting our communities across this nation and around the world.”
The photos were captured by Delta soror Tania Stewart of Exquisitely Composed Images, LLC.
