Did you know that Yamiche Alcindor is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha? Alcindor crossed through the Omicron Pi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. a city-wide chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha in Washington, D.C.
Yamiche Alcindor is an American journalist and reporter who hosts Washington Week on PBS and is a correspondent for NBC News. She has also worked with USA Today and The New York Times in the past. Alcindor mostly covers politics, social issues, and gender equality.
Alcindor was born in Miami, Florida to Haitian parents. When she was in high school, she worked as an intern at the Westside Gazette and the Miami Herald- two local African-American newspapers. Alcindor earned her degree from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Government with a Minor Concentration in African American Studies where she also joined Alpha Kappa Alpha.
During the 2020 presidential election, Alcindor she was one of the moderators of the sixth Democratic debate.
