Entire Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Brothers Shaved Their Heads In Solidarity with Those Who Have Alopecia
The brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha are showing solidarity and support for those who have alopecia.
The Upsilon Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. seated at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA recently held their annual fall event known as Bald For A Cause in which the entire chapter shaves their heads as a show of solidarity for the Beautiful Kids Organization (BKO) which is a support group for kids with the hair loss disease Alopecia.
The brothers gathered on campus with a set of clippers and a chair and publicly shave each others heads in front of students heading to and from class.
“We do this in public to inspire students, parents, teachers, etc. on campus to donate hair and money that goes to BKO as support for the cause,” one of the chapter brothers told Watch The Yard.
Over the last two years, the chapter has raised over $800 in support of the Beautiful Kids Organization.
