Cuteness Overload: This Phi Beta Sigma + Zeta Phi Beta Family Is Perfection
We at Watch The Yard love to see Black fraternity and sorority couples and families and our cute family of the week this week comes all the way from Ohio.
We recently came across a beautiful set of family photos from the Gibson family and immediately knew that we needed to share them with you all.
The father, Justin Gibson, MBA, CDP, crossed Spring ‘02 through the Lambda Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma at the University of Cincinnati and the mother, Jami Gibson, MSN, RN, NP, is a Spring ‘05 initiate of the Delta Nu/Cleveland Citywide Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta and attended Ursuline College.
Both are currently members of graduate chapters in Cincinnati and Justin is the State Director of Ohio for Phi Beta Sigma.
Jami is a Nurse Practitioner for the UC Health Palliative Care Division and Justin works as
the Associate Director for Diversity Outreach and Engagement for the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association.
Their beautiful children are Sydnee (6), Olivia and Maya (3) and Justin Jr. (1).
We reached out to Justin after seeing the photos from their recent family photo shoot and asked him what family means to him.
“Family is everything, the manifestation of God’s grace and mercy (although our house is like a zoo most days!),” he told Watch The Yard. “Our goal is to raise them to serve God, help the powerless, and be a credit to our ancestors’ sacrifice. As parents, if we don’t get that right, nothing else matters.”
