Skee-Wee! This Is How Alpha Kappa Alpha Revealed Its New Line at Southern University
The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Southern University and A&M College just revealed 49 new members to campus!
The Beta Psi Chapter of the sorority recently held their new initiate presentation and put on a show!
These ladies follow in the footsteps of great women and have a long and rich legacy to uphold.
Their chapter was chartered on March 27, 1940 on the campus of Southern University. Under the direction of Mrs. Henrietta Baranco, five young ladies set forth to establish a legacy that has existed for decades years. The five charter members were: Lysbia Day, Willie Mae Houston, Garnett Conant Cole, Girthernie Evans Lloyd, and Ethel Goines.
Over the years, Beta Psi Chapter members have been recognized locally, regionally, and internationally for their commitment to serving the community and for academic achievements.
