Iota Phi Theta Brothers Raise $10,000 to Serve Tampa Bay’s Grant Park Community
Tis’ the season for service but when it comes to the brothers of Iota Phi Theta, service is a year round thing!
The Zeta Delta Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. at the University of South Florida recently helped raise $10,000 for Tampa Bay’s Grant Park Community. This was part of their annual philanthropy event called Project Shop.
“The money was used to sponsor the kids of the Grant Park Community to go Christmas shopping and also provide renovations and additionally help within the community,” one of the brothers told Watch The Yard in a message.
“It was important for us to do this because as a chapter and an organization we believe in giving back to something greater than ourselves and it gives us great joy to see a smile put on the kids face of the Grant Park Community every year around Christmas time.”
The event was led by brother Aaron Sinclair and the money was donated by numerous organizations on campus, local businesses and individuals in the community who wanted to help make a difference.
